The Tenn Pear tree (also known as the Tennessee) produces small, sweet pears that make for good dessert fruit. The pears ripen in early fall and are a greenish yellow with a red blush. Besides producing fruit, the tree will bloom with fragrant white flowers in the early spring. Tenn Pear trees are heat tolerant and require 150-450 chill hours. Plant in full sun with well-drained soil. At maturity, it can reach a height between 15 ft.-20 ft. and a width of 12 ft.-15 ft. This pear is best grown in USDA Zones 4-9 and is shipped in a #5 pot with an average height of 2 ft.
